International Partner Meeting

The project concluded its third Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) in the heart of Paris, on October 9 & 10, 2023, which is a significant step towards promoting environmental sustainability and social inclusion. Partners from different countries met to discuss the results of the Innovative Teaching Training (ITT) held in San Sebastian, a crucial event attended by 22 educators, trainers and volunteers from the five countries involved in the project.

The ITT proved to be an important milestone, providing a platform for testing the collaborative teaching resources meticulously developed by the project stakeholders. This training initiative aimed to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge of the social and technical aspects of teaching recycling techniques to disadvantaged communities. By improving their teaching skills, participants are now better prepared to deliver high-quality recycling and upcycling training to these disadvantaged groups, thereby promoting a sustainable future.

One of the highlights of the event was a visit to 'La Petite Rockette', an ecological and solidarity-based platform committed to giving new life to discarded objects. More than just recycling, this initiative embodies the spirit of local development by forming strategic partnerships, creating sustainable jobs, emphasizing community involvement and encouraging the skills and growth of its workforce. This philosophy resonates deeply with the core values of the @train.sustain.europe project, illustrating a shared vision of a greener, more inclusive world.

The success of the Paris meeting paves the way for the project's next and final meeting, scheduled to take place in Porto, Portugal, on 23 and 24 April 2024. As the initiative grows, it continues to inspire change-makers, educators and communities, underlining the power of collaboration and education in building a sustainable future.
